Who we are
A Tampa plumbing company, not a franchise
United Plumbing & Drain LLC was founded in 2007 in Tampa, Florida, backed by three decades of hands-on experience in the trade. We serve both residential and commercial clients, and we have stayed deliberately local — the technician who turns up works for us, not for a subcontractor, and the person who quoted your job is accountable for how it goes.
What we set out to be was straightforward: a plumbing company that tells people the truth about what is wrong. That sounds like a low bar until you have been quoted a full sewer replacement for a problem that turned out to be roots at one joint.
We work with all major brands and handle everything from a leaking tap to a full line replacement. Our roots here mean we already know what fails in this region and why — cast iron in the older neighbourhoods, root intrusion where the trees are mature, salt-air corrosion nearer the coast, well and septic systems out in the county.

Diagnose before quoting
We find the actual cause before putting a number on it. A price given without a diagnosis is a guess, and guesses get corrected upward once work has started.
Price before we start
You approve the cost before a wrench comes out. No line items appear at the end that were not discussed at the beginning.
Explain the options honestly
Where there is a cheaper repair and a longer-lasting replacement, you get both with prices. The decision is yours to make with the facts.
Do the work in house
No subcontracting. The person doing the job is ours, which means there is never a question about who is responsible if something needs putting right.

We diagnose and quote
A licensed technician finds the actual cause — camera inspection where it helps — and gives you the price before any work starts.
We fix it
Most repairs are handled on the spot. Larger jobs get scheduled fast, with financing available on qualifying work.
Licensed, insured and accountable
We hold Florida license CFC1431054. The CFC prefix means Certified Plumbing Contractor — a state-level certification rather than a county registration, so we are licensed to work anywhere in Florida. We carry liability insurance and workers compensation.
It is worth understanding why that matters rather than treating it as a badge. If an unlicensed plumber causes a flood, the damage is your problem, and your homeowners policy may decline the claim on the grounds the work was not performed by a licensed contractor. Unpermitted work also has a habit of surfacing during a sale or an insurance inspection, years after whoever did it has gone. You are welcome to verify our license with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
