Why we point people at our reviews
Plumbing is a trade people buy under pressure and without much basis for comparison. Something has failed, it needs fixing today, and the average homeowner has no way to judge whether a quote is reasonable or whether the work being recommended is necessary. That asymmetry is exactly why the industry has the reputation it does.
Reviews are the closest thing to a check on that. Not any single one — anyone can collect a handful of good reviews. But 118 of them, accumulated over years, with the detail people go into, is harder to manufacture and much more revealing.
